Between May 23 to 24 takes place at the Palace of Parliament, Bucharest Energy Forum on the theme “Romania towards a green economy for its citizens.”

The conference, organized by Aspen Institute Romania and Truth Group is part of the 2020 strategy, in which EU Member States are moving towards business models, competitive, resource-efficient, able to cope with climate change challenges within short and long term.

Romania as EU member state is obliged to carry out the specific objectives in the medium and long-term of Europe 2020 strategy such as: reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 20% from 1990 levels, increase energy efficiency by reducing fuel consumption and reducing the carbon content .

The event, which contains actions related to efficiency and energy security and green energy, fulfills two roles: to provide a platform for dialogue with influential business and policy makers, to create a trans-regional platform (for the countries of the Caspian Sea, Adriatic Sea and the Black Sea) to discuss policy options and strategies in the energy sector.
