The “Recycling Station ”is an awareness campaign that focuses on WEEE collection, launched by ECOTIC in June 2016 and dedicated
d to Romania's rural and urban environment. After traveling through Iasi and Brasov Counties, the Recycling Station started its journey in Arges County, beginning with March 20th 2017, with the support of Arges County Council, the Environment Protection Agency Arges and ADI Servsal.
Starting with 2016, Romania has a mandatory national collection target for WEEE of 45%. In this context, ECOTIC launched, in 2016, two national campaigns - one dedicated exclusively to the urban areas (Clean Cities) and one dedicated both to the rural and urban areas (The Recycling Station), both meant to cover as much of the country. as possible and send out the message of the need to correctly collect and recycling WEEE.
After spending time in 30 localities in Iasi and Brasov Counties, the Recycling Station arrives, beginning with March 20th 2017, in Arges County. By the end of the campaign, the Caravan will have visited 15 localities from Arges.
