Selective collection and WEEE eco-aesthetics - 2nd edition

The 2nd edition Selective collection and WEEE eco-estetique, organized between 19.11- 07.12.2012 by ECOTIC, National Agency for Environmental Protection Bihor, with the support of the Bihor Inspectorate took place in 22 educational institutions.

Campaign in the form of competition involved two types of activities performed by students of classes I to VIII in participatingschools: WEEE collection and creation of artistic objects of these wastes.

The leading schools in WEEE collection were:

1:  Orthodox School “Episcop Roman Ciorogariu”  Oradea

2: School N. Balcescu Oradea

3rd: Secondary School No.1, Derna

A total of 3,334 kg were collected WEEE.

Each school designed an artistic objects using waste electrical equipment, electronics and appliances. Artistic objects were sent to the Environmental Protection Agency for the jury and in order toshown in the exhibition Green Corner. The jury was composed of representatives of EPA Bihor and ECOTIC.

Podium on this section was taken by:

Orthodox School “Episcop Roman Ciorogariu”  Oradea – which won first prize;
School Endre Ady, Oradea - which won second;
School No. 8, A Iancu, Oradea - Third Prize.

Prizes were awarded during a ceremony held at the Environmental Protection Agency Bihor, on December 17, 2012.
