Alucro and ECOTIC BAT developed the environmental education campaign entitled “You recycle, we reward you” in 89 institutions from Romania.Over 6 tons of aluminum cans and over 2 tons of waste of batteries were collected. This campaign was developed between February 3 to May 30, under the patronage of the Ministry of Environment and Climate Changes and thand County Schools Inspectorates. The objective of this campaign was to raise the awareness of the younger generation regarding the importance of proper recycling of waste, especially aluminum cans and waste of portable batteries.
The campaign "You recycle, we reward you" took place in all schools that wanted to enroll from the following cities: Bucharest, Ploiesti, Buzau, Focsani, Bacau, Cluj-Napoca, Timisoara, Iasi, Hunedoara, Brasov, Piatra Neamt and Alba Iulia.
The campaign included eco-education classes held by enrolled teachers based on materials provided by the organizers. The campaign also included a competition for selective collection of aluminum cans and portable batteries and accumulators. The competition was opened for the coordinating teachers, students and schools participating in the campaign.
Top 3 institutions that collected the largest amount of waste of batteries:
- 1st place - Ion Creanga Gymnasium School, Cluj-Napoca - 274 kg of waste of portable batteries;
- 2nd place - W. Shakespeare Theoretical High School, Timisoara - 270,6 kg waste of portable batteries;
- 3rd place - AICuza Gymnasium School from Bacau, 168 kg waste of portable batteries.
The winnig schools will receive electrical equipment from ECOTIC.
Top 3 institutions that collected the largest amounts of aluminum cans:
- 1st place - School no. 2 Deacon Coresi, Brasov - 606,8 kg
- 2nd place - W. Shakespeare Theoretical High School, Timisoara - 441 kg
- 3rd place - Secuieni School, Bacau - 436,5 kg.
The winning schools will each receive a printer and a photo collage with pictures from the campaign.
Top 3 students that collected the largest amounts of waste of batteries are Harnut David, W. Shakespeare Theoretical High School - Timisoara, Popa Catalina, Ion Creanga High School - Cluj-Napoca, Cune Yanis, Petre Ghelmez High School, Bucharest. These studemts collected about 300 kg of waste of batteries. Each student will receive from ECOTIC BAT a tablet.
Top 3 students that collected the largest amounts of aluminum cans: Andronescu Alexandru, Patarlagele School- Buzau, with15.836 cans collected, Radu Raul, School no. 2 Diaconu Coresi - Brasov, with13.608 cans collected and Hurmuz Catalin, Scoala Gh. I. Bratianu - Iasi, with 8.610 cans collected. Each student will receive from Alucro a video camera.

Marghiloman - Buzau, Dumitru Gabriela - Nicolae Iorga Gymnasium School - Focsani, Dinca Florin Cristian - Dionisie Pop Martian Economic College - Alba Iulia and Marilena Ana Draia - Ovidiu Densusianu Technological High School - Hunedoara.Each teacher will be rewarded with a smarthphone.
