The ECOTIC and ECOTIC BAT teams were very active in the first part of this year.
I managed over 5000 tons of WEEE and 33 tons of DBA, being in the schedule of directions sent by the ECOTIC Board of Directors.
Collection infrastructure WEEE si WBA got married there 399 for electronics and 2966 for batteries. We collection containers ECOTIC and ECOTIC BAT can be found in Altex and Media Galaxy, Metro, Penny, XXL, Mega Image and in the La Doi Pasi network.
ECOTIC continued to implement the standards WEEELABEX, an aspect that involved many hours dedicated to evaluating the operations of the treatment partners, creating reference lots and systematizing the flows.

An interesting one WEEE study The collection highlighted that most of the rural WEEE is historical.
In June, ECOTIC started the construction of the project "Caravan ECOTIC Life + ”, a large awareness project, co-financed by the European Union through the Life + program, which involves a traveling exhibition on WEEE, the Caravan that will reach 150 schools and 30 public places in the next 2 years.
Also during this period, ECOTIC completed the project funded by Swiss funds RRResponsible: be responsible, be supportive - Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, giving a new chance to disadvantaged people ”and the ECOScolarul contest in which 12 schools from 12 communities were involved in raising awareness.

Other actions worth mentioning are:
- Open day for cooling - event dedicated to ECOTIC environmental day producers

- Starting seminars with local authorities
- Participate in Culture wheel environmental day
- Involvement in the social project Assoclic 2014
ECOTIC hosted WEEE Forum General Assembly in Bucharest where a new President was elected who will represent the collective organizations at European level.
ECOTIC was also involved in the legislative debates related to the field of waste management, participating in public debate on the implementation of the new WEEE directive, as well as through opinions and points of view submitted to the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change. ECOTIC joined the group "Romania Horizon 2020 Initiative”, A group in which the market actors debate methods to improve the legislative framework.
I thus participated in the debate on the new law on sanitation and to a event which was also attended by Environment Minister Attila Korody.
Members of the ECOTIC team gave presentations at the events European Recycling Society - Natural Resources and Waste Management, Global challenges - local approaches: waste recycling & resource saving.
