Romania, as an EU member state, has the obligation to achieve specific medium and long term objectives of the Europe 2020 Strategy such as: reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 20% compared to 1990, increasing energy efficiency by reducing consumption and reducing carbon content.
The event, which continues actions related to energy efficiency and security, as well as green energy, fulfills two roles: to provide an influential platform for dialogue for business and policy makers; to create a trans-regional platform (for the countries between the Caspian Sea, the Adriatic Sea and the Black Sea) for debating public policy options and energy strategies.
