Clean Cities, the ECOTIC itinerant campaign, dedicated to the collection of used electrical and electronic equipment from the urban environment, makes a new stop, this time, in the city of Rădăuți.

Between 10 and 28 September 2018, ECOTIC in partnership with the Ministry of Environment, Rădăuți City Hall and Rădăuți Communal Services, encourages the citizens of the city to hand over correctly for recycling waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE), following the delivery of a waste of at least 10 kg accumulated to receive an instant prize.

The collection center is located on 1 Mai street no. 4-6, being open from Monday to Friday, between 08:00 and 15:00.

At the same time, the people of Radauti can benefit from a free service. Thus, the collection of bulky electrical and electronic equipment waste will be done from home, based on a prior appointment at the telephone numbers 0230/563 495 or 0230/563 496.

The "Clean Cities" campaign is welcome in Radauti. Its mission to make the general public aware of the importance of correctly handing over electrical and electronic waste is doubled by providing a large WEEE collection service from citizens' homes. " declares Mr. Sorin Zvolinschi - Environmental Manager within the Rădăuți Communal Services.

Romania, as an EU member state, has the obligation to reach a target of 45% collection of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) by 2020. In this regard, ECOTIC continues its efforts to raise awareness among the population.

"Clean Cities" is the ECOTIC campaign that pursues this goal in the urban environment. Together with local public and environmental authorities, ECOTIC has informed and continues to inform residents of dozens of cities across the country about the need to collect WEEE, providing specialized collection points.

In 2017 and in the first part of 2018, ECOTIC carried out 31 campaigns that informed approximately 320.000 people.
