"Afforestation Day" is a traditional action of the ECOTIC Organization, now in its fifth edition. It is an event dedicated to ECOTIC producers and partners, a good opportunity offered to everyone to put their shoulder to a clean environment!
The afforestation action took place on March 31, 2017, within the Comana Forest District, Giurgiu County. More than 100 participants were expected in the Herasti Afforestation Site, where it was planned to plant 1500 oak, ash and soft buckthorn seedlings. The action was a wonderful opportunity to reconnect to nature, to its needs, but also to inform and learn.
With the help of the staff of the Comana Forest District, the participants found out what a proper planting work means - starting from the size and arrangement of the pits, to the way the seedlings are arranged, covered and distributed.
In a few hours, the Comana Forest District received 1500 new shoots as a gift, in addition to the enthusiasm, work and satisfaction of the participants. The ECOTIC invitation was honored by generous teams of partners: Ager Business Tech, Asbis Romania, Assa Abloy Romania, Ecopier, Elefant Online SA, F64 Studio, Glove Technology, Grundfos Pompe Romania, Essers, Havi Logistics, Intrarom, Vodafone Romania, along with representatives of the public authorities inquired, planted, and then visited the Paper Mill and the Craftsmen's Village in Comana.
