Environmentally responsible behaviors are not born with maturity, but are formed since childhood. The habits that a child learns at home and at school, separate waste collection, care for resources, understanding the impact of their own actions on nature, remain with them throughout their lives and become, over time, reflexes of a responsible adult.

ECOTIC constantly carries out educational programs dedicated to children and youth, because we firmly believe that today's children are tomorrow's responsible adults. Every year, we invest in educational materials, interactive activities and national programs that bring environmental education closer to students and teachers, thus contributing to the formation of a sustainable culture in relation to nature.

Circular economy and the role of WEEE and DBA collection

Environmental education cannot be separated from the transition to a circular economy, in which resources are used as efficiently as possible, and waste becomes raw materials for new products. Recycling is one of the fundamental parts of this model, and waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE), as well as waste batteries and accumulators (WBA), represent categories with enormous potential for resource recovery, but also with significant risks to the environment and health when incorrectly managed.

ECOTIC constantly promotes these practices among the general public, but also among children, to form the habit of collecting and handing over for recycling correctly from an early age.

The national program "Little ones do great deeds" 2026 has ended.

ECOTIC BAT announces the completion of this year's edition of the national program "The kids do great deeds", a project dedicated to preschoolers and designed to transform ecological education and DBA collection into play. Throughout the program, children participated in DBA collection and educational activities, demonstrating that even small gestures, constantly repeated, have a large positive impact on the environment.

Also today, the national program "School of Ecoterrians" 2025-2026 Edition closed.

In parallel, ECOTIC also concluded the 2025-2026 Edition of the national program "Ecoterrians' School", an initiative that aims to transform schools into true ecological communities. Through thematic lessons, challenges and collection activities, students from grades I-VIII explored the concepts of recycling, circular economy and responsible waste management, practically becoming little ambassadors of sustainability in their families and communities.

ECOTIC's commitment to education

For ECOTIC, the educational component is and will remain a priority. Every year, we invest in the development of programs, materials and activities dedicated to children and young people, because we know that every lesson about the environment, learned today, translates into responsible behavior tomorrow – whether we are talking about separate collection, recycling of WEEE and DBA or caring for the planet's resources. We continue to be actively involved in educating future generations, convinced that a sustainable future is built, step by step, starting from primary school.

An important step in this direction comes from the formal education system itself: starting with the 2026-2027 school year, seventh-grade students will be able to opt for a new subject, "Circular Economy and Responsible Consumption", recently approved by the Ministry of Education. The approach confirms, at a national level, what ECOTIC has been promoting for years through its educational programs: understanding the circular economy and responsible waste management must be part of every student's education.
