The circular economy is based on the concept of reducing waste through reuse, repair, repurposing and recycling, offering a sustainable alternative to the traditional linear economic model ("extract-use-dispose").
Under the vision "From Linear to Circular", ECOTIC assumes the transition to a sustainable economic model and integrates the principles of the circular economy in all its activities. Through awareness campaigns, public, private partnerships and the development of collection infrastructure, ECOTIC actively contributes to the reintroduction of secondary raw materials into the economic circuit and to the extension of the life of products through the partnership with Ateliere fără Frontiere, thus reducing the consumption of natural resources and protecting the environment.
The retrospective of ECOTIC's activity shows a constant evolution and a real impact in the community: over 13 collection points electrical and battery waste throughout the country, collection and education campaigns for the population such as "Clean Cities" and "Ecoterrian School", but also active involvement in creating more efficient public policies regarding waste management.
Over the years, ECOTIC has managed to collect and recycle over 450 tons of WEEE, thus contributing to the transition to a circular economy.
The strategic vision "From Linear to Circular" is a clear direction that has guided every project and initiative.
