ECOTIC launches the 17th edition of Clean Environment Awards Gala, the national competition that rewards projects and initiatives that protect nature, promote the circular economy, inspire communities and put Romania on the sustainability map.
Organized by ECOLOGICAL, in partnership with Ministry of Environment, Waters and Forests, the competition brings together various projects every year, from environmental education campaigns to circular economy projects, afforestation actions, separate waste collection, food waste reduction or energy efficiency.
Why participate?
Clean Environment Awards Gala is more than a competition: it is a platform for visibility and recognition for projects with a positive impact on the environment and local communities. Whether it is environmental education actions, waste collection campaigns, food waste reduction initiatives, green energy projects or afforestation, they all have their place in the competition.
In those 16 editions previous ones were registered over 878 projects, and many of these have become national examples of good practice.
How do I register?
Registrations are open until November 26, 2025 and are done online, on www.premiilepentrummediucurat.ro .
2025 edition categories are:
- Environmental projects – 3 winners
- Special Award for Educational Institutions – 1 winner
The competition award ceremony Journalism for a clean environment also takes place during the Gala. Journalists can find out details about the campaign and register here.
Additionally, the general public can get involved by nominating their favorite projects on the website. The organizers will then contact the initiators for official registration.
Calendar and judging
Judging will be carried out by a panel of experts, and the winners will be announced at the Gala to be held in December 2025.
17th edition Clean Environment Awards Gala is supported by: Ministry of Environment, Waters and Forests, Embassy of Sustainability in Romania, CERC, Info Cons, Union of Professional Journalists in Romania, APDETIC, ECSR.ro, Radio Romania Cultural, RFI Romania and EventsMax.
