On October 10, Bucharest will host International Conference "How technology can help develop sustainable solutions" which will take place between 10.00-14.30, at Cinema Elvira Popescu. The conference agenda is available here.
Two French guests will also take part in the meetings with the Romanian public. Marc Fontecave - professor at the Collège de France, at the Department of Chemistry of Biological Systems - will talk about the challenges in the fields of renewable energy and energy storage; on the other hand, Jean-Christophe Mathias, philosopher, will evoke the ascending and worrying dynamics of the extinction of plant species.
Among the Romanian guests, Victor Negrescu, Minister Delegate for European Affairs, representatives of companies, NGOs and the media announced their presence.
The conference is also addressed to the general public concerned with the solutions offered by technology. Those interested are expected to participate in debates and Q&A sessions. The entry is free.

GreenTech Film Festival, the first documentary film festival dedicated to green technology, takes place at Cinema Elvira Popescu, between October 9-12.
”The presence of the GreenTech Film Festival at the French Institute in Bucharest is part of the latter's strategy to organize and host events with low ecological impact. The French Institute welcomes the organization of such a festival in Romania and expresses its hope that this example of good practices for environmental protection will be followed by other cultural actors in the country.
