ECOTIC reminds all those involved in environmental initiatives aimed at supporting sustainable development that they still have only one week until registration closes - to Clean Environment Awards GalaUntil November 26, 2025, organizations, public institutions, companies and educational institutions are invited to register their projects that bring a positive impact to the environment and society.
Why sign up?
Because valuable initiatives deserve to be seen and recognized and can inspire other communities to take action. If you have worked on an environmental project in the last year, this is the time to bring it before a jury of specialists consisting of: Cristina Bîcîilă – General Director of Ateliere Fâră Frontiere, Oana Groșanu – Executive Director of the Embassy of Sustainability, Alex Laibăr – Executive Director of the Coalition for Circular Economy, Sorin Mierlea – President of InfoCons – Consumer Protection, Valentin Negoiță – President of ECOTIC and the Ministry of Environment, Waters and ForestsRegardless of local, regional or national scope, projects are evaluated based on impact, originality, relevance and sustainability.
Every year, Clean Environment Awards Gala brings to the forefront people and organizations that, through their constant work, change the communities in which they live and contribute to various areas of sustainability and environmental protection through:
- eco-education programs,
- circular economy projects
- planting, greening or biodiversity conservation actions,
- innovative solutions that make cities greener and more sustainable,
- local green initiatives for communities.
In a context where climate change directly affects the quality of life, projects implemented by civil society, authorities, schools and companies are becoming increasingly important, and Clean Environment Awards Gala it is a platform for recognizing them.
Who can participate?
The competition is open to all those who have carried out environmental projects in Romania:
- NGO sources
- private companies
- public institutions
- educational institutions
- civic groups
Award categories
- Projects – three projects will be designated winners
- Special Award for Educational Institutions – a distinction dedicated to schools, kindergartens, high schools, universities.
The competition award ceremony Journalism for a clean environment also takes place during the Gala. Journalists can register are here.
Additionally, the general public can get involved by nominating projects from their communities to the organizers of the Clean Environment Awards Gala. The organizers will then contact the initiators for official registration.
