Nature Fest: a gift for the environment, for his birthday

On June 5 and 6, Cismigiu Park in Bucharest hosted an event in its first edition: Natura Fest, an environmental celebration.

Bucharest is in great need of eco-education actions that can really reach people. And one of the solutions tested by ECOTIC throughout its activity and which certainly gives results is walking among people to communicate and interact directly, honestly, directly with them.

Natura Fest is a new initiative, supported by Bucharest City Hall. In the open air, in the greenery of a park loved by all Bucharestians, ECOTIC offered to adults and children not only information about the proper recycling of waste electrical and electronic equipment and used portable batteries, but also opportunities for healthy fun, sports and - very important - the possibility for those present to actively participate in the collection and, implicitly, the recycling of the mentioned types of waste!

So ECOTIC got to work, moved its Caravan to the entrance to the park, activated the Ecoterrian and supported the green cross of bicycles, to which all those who brought to the ECOTIC collection point 5 batteries or 2 waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) could register.

Over 35 kg of used batteries have been collected these days, as well as over 10 kg of waste electrical and electronic equipment. Many other people have shown interest and desire to dispose properly, in an environmentally friendly manner, of electrical and electronic equipment.

We are glad that people had fun, moved, visited the ECOTIC Caravan and participated, young and old, in creative recycling workshops and then, in concerts organized every day, in the evening.

Many other children have discovered the Ecoterrian and his emotional story about how important it is to love and protect the environment. And we have rediscovered, once again, that there are many people who care and who simply need the right information, support and infrastructure to put their shoulder together with us all for a clean environment!
