On June 4, in Bacau, a satellite event of the GREEN WEEK campaign took place, initiated in Brussels by the European Commission in order to raise awareness of environmental issues at European level. ECOTIC participated in this event to provide participants with relevant information on good WEEE recycling practices.
In its third edition, the Regional Conference "Local and global practices necessary for nature conservation and biodiversity", held at the Mircea Cancicov Business and Exhibition Center, Bacau, is an event dedicated to World Environment Day and an important opportunity to bring together representatives of public and environmental authorities, sanitation operators and economic agents collectors-recyclers-waste treaters from Region 1 NE.
The importance of such meetings lies in the possibility of mutual and direct exchange of views and experience between participants; a complex system works all the better as its component parts become aware not only of the whole, but also of the important role that each one has.
ECOTIC, through its zonal representative, Florin Catz, presented to the participants relevant information not only about the activity of the organization, but also about what good practices mean in the collection, recycling and capitalization of WEEE. Considering that since April there have been news in the national legislation with the publication of GEO 5/2015, we welcome any opportunity to disseminate the necessary information at all levels: institutions, companies and the general public; it is necessary to know what we have to do so that our actions, of all, are the appropriate and effective ones for the protection of the environment.
