Starting with January 2020, Romanians are encouraged to "be in the country as well as abroad" and to hand over waste electrical and electronic equipment responsibly.

Between November 2 and 6, 2020, ECOTIC and CNIPT urge the inhabitants of Topoloveni to properly hand over for recycling waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) and waste batteries and accumulators (DBA), following that each person who delivers waste electrical equipment more than 5 kg accumulated or more than 30 pieces of waste batteries and / or accumulators to receive an instant prize.

The collection point is located on Calea Bucharest Street, no. 107B, open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 00 p.m.

“Waste electrical equipment, as well as used batteries, contain dangerous substances that, once in nature, pollute in the long run, thus impacting our health. Thus, together with ECOTIC we organized this campaign to come to the aid of the inhabitants of Topoloveni, providing them with a collection point and a free pick-up service from home. ” says Ileana Cristina Boboc, specialized inspector at the National Center for Tourist Information and Promotion in Topoloveni.

"Clean Cities" Topoloveni is part of the national information campaign "Be in your country as well as abroad", organized by ECOTIC in partnership with the Ministry of Environment, Waters and Forests. Its purpose is to contribute to the awareness of the Romanian public regarding the correct behavior towards a type of waste: WEEE - waste electrical and electronic equipment.

Through it, ECOTIC aims to promote good practices in the European Union and to inform the Romanian public on separate collection solutions for electrical and electronic waste available to all: electronics and home appliances stores, municipal collection points and campaigns on which ECOTIC carries out regularly, in urban and rural areas.
