The results of the "Clean Cities" campaigns in early November

During October 2017, "Clean Cities", the national ECOTIC campaign dedicated to the collection of used electricity and electronics from urban areas, started in several localities: Baia de Arieș, Vaslui, Iași, Comănești, Otopeni and Borșa. The campaign encouraged residents of the six cities to come and properly deliver used electrical and electronic equipment to local collection centers. Of the six localities, fish were collected 10 tons of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE).  

The ECOTIC organization, in partnership with local authorities and sanitation companies, continues, throughout 2017, the national campaign "Clean Cities". After passing through Botoșani, Filiași, Târgu Mureș, Dorohoi, Brăila, Piatra Neamț, Galați, Bragadiru, Motru Rădăuți, Timișoara, Ploiești, Cluj-Napoca, during October 2017, the inhabitants of Borșa, Otopeni, Comănești, Vaslui Iasi and Baia de Arieș were informed and encouraged to become aware of the problem of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) and the need to properly hand them over for recycling.

Thus, during the campaign, any resident of the six cities who handed over a waste of at least 5 / 10kg accumulated at local collection points, received an instant prize. The collection points were located in areas announced in advance to the population, through communication materials.

At the end of the campaign, the six cities reported a total of approximately 10.300 kg of WEEE collected, as follows:

- Bag - 2 tons of WEEE

- Otopeni - 2 tons of WEEE

- Comanesti - 2 tons of WEEE

- Vaslui - 1,3 tons of WEEE

- Iasi - 2 tons of WEEE

- Bay of Aries - 1 tonne WEEE

The campaigns in Borșa, Otopeni, Comănești, Vaslui, Iași and Baia de Arieș continued, in 2017, the national program “Clean Cities”, an itinerant program of the ECOTIC Organization, dedicated to WEEE collection in urban areas.
