"Romania is one of the countries where individual initiatives, although many, go unnoticed. We tend to focus more on disasters instead of presenting solutions. For this reason, TOMORROW has started a movement that shows the whole world that there are solutions everywhere. Through these screenings, we encourage the Romanian public to tell us their story or to inspire them through the examples presented in the documentary " declares Nicoleta Talpeș, Managing Director, Media Image Factory.
TOMORROW starts with a scientific study published in the journal Nature, in 2012. This, quite devastating, heralds a general collapse of our ecosystems, and therefore the end of stable living conditions on Earth. In response, Cyril Dion and Mélanie Laurent along with a team of four other people Alexandre, Laurent, Raphäel and Antoine, all around 30 years old, go to 10 countries (France and Reunion Island, Switzerland, USA, Great Britain, Denmark , Belgium, Finland, Norway, Iceland, India) to investigate what could cause this catastrophe, how it could be avoided and to explore the world in search of solutions capable of saving future generations. During the trip, they meet the pioneers who reinvent agriculture, energy, economics, democracy and education.
"We are pleased to offer with our partners, through this film, a series of good practices initiated internationally in support of environmental protection." Declares Valentin Negoiţă, President of the ECOTIC Association.
In Romania, the film is presented for the first time by Media Image Factory, within the Guerilla Verde educational caravan, with the support of ECOTIC, of the French Institute in Romania, IBM and Every Can Counts Romania. The preview show took place on September 28, 2016, at Cinema Elvira Popescu, in Bucharest. The launch event is followed by screenings for the public, with free entry, in Bucharest, Iași, Cluj, Timișoara and Brașov.
