The national program "Ecoterrians' School" 2024-2025 ended successfully, marking a completely new edition, with a redesigned mechanism and remarkable involvement from students, teachers and participating schools across the country.

This year's edition brought together 486 schools, from urban and rural areas, in the competition for a cleaner and more sustainable future. With the help of the newly launched SE Platform and a series of educational challenges, students learned about the importance of separate collection of electronic waste and used batteries, as well as sustainable habits that they can apply both at school and at home with their families.

The results speak for themselves. Schools collected over 75 tons of electronic waste, over 12 tons of used batteries, all responsibly handed over for recycling. The novelty of this edition was the direct involvement of students in accumulating points for their schools. Over 20.737 students were active in the SE Platform, participating in quizzes and challenges that brought points to their schools' accounts.

The messages received from the teachers involved emphasize the real impact of the project in the community, but also the way it managed to combine learning with concrete action.

"The national Ecoterrienilor School competition was a remarkable and extremely beneficial initiative for the Secondary School No. 27 Timișoara. It provided us with an excellent platform to educate students on the importance of environmental protection and the correct management of WEEE and DBA.

The implementation process went smoothly, and the materials were clear and easy to use. Tasks were strategically divided, the coordination team managed the logistics of the collection and monitored progress, while teachers integrated the topic into the lessons, and the principals motivated the students. The students concretely understood the life cycle of products and the importance of recycling, becoming true ambassadors of recycling in the family and community.

We will definitely register for the next edition of the competition. It is an essential program that contributes to the formation of a responsible generation aware of the impact of its actions on the environment. Our success – First Prize – demonstrates the positive impact of this initiative. We will also highly recommend other schools to register.” – said Mrs. Claudia Kortye, Coordinating professor, Secondary School No. 27 Timișoara – 10st place in the Top XNUMX

"An educational, innovative and challenging program at the same time, the Ecoterrienilor School was very beneficial for the children. The implementation of the project took place quite quickly, with all the information being presented during the meetings, and the teachers and students were receptive. The older students in the middle school cycle were tasked with completing as many quizzes as possible. The children were very excited and couldn't wait to carry out the activities! The most appreciated activity was the greening and the planting of flowers and trees, because we managed to beautify the space around the school unit. The students are now much more aware of environmental protection, the greening routine and have become friends with nature. We will definitely sign up for the next edition! We can't wait! We have already recommended this program to other teachers and other schools." - declared, Mrs. Bogdan Claudia, coordinating professor, Cazasu Junior High School, Brăila, winner of the award for the most involved teacher, depending on the amount of waste collected.
