Between September 01 and October 30, 2015, ECOTIC carries out together with ADIS Iasi and APM Iasi, in the county, a series of campaigns in which 6 local public administrations and 2 sanitation companies from Iasi County joined. The aims of these campaigns are the following:
- to improve the selective WEEE collection system in the county,
- the creation of a unitary, coherent and applicable framework at local level for planning and putting into practice the best practices for selective collection of WEEE.
The 6 local public administrations and the 2 sanitation companies that have shown their openness to organize separate WEEE collection campaigns locally are: Salubris Iași, ECO Salubritatea Pașcani, Podu Iloaiei City Hall, Ciurea City Hall, Miroslava City Hall, Victoria City Hall , Vladeni City Hall and Tomești City Hall.
At the end of the activity period, ECOTIC will award the mayoralties and sanitation companies that will have the best results.
All the activities that will be carried out within these campaigns are a first result of the seminar that took place on June 11, 2015, within the ECOTIC Caravan project, co-financed by the Life instrument of the European Union. This seminar took place with the support of ADIS Iasi, being present representatives of APM, LPA, ADIS, as well as sanitation operators, in order to put into practice the best selective collection mechanisms.
