Between April 07 and 18, 2014, ECOTIC together with Salubris Iasi, the Agency for Environmental Protection in the locality and the City Hall of Iasi carried out the project called "Together for a Clean Environment!". In this campaign, the population of Iasi and the inhabitants of the nearby areas were invited to properly dispose of old and used electrical and electronic equipment at the points specially designed for their collection, and for any such waste of at least 10 kg the organizers offered an ecological cleaning product. A total of 2 tons of WEEE were collected.
The organizers of the campaign thus offered the possibility to dispose in an environmentally friendly way of waste electrical and electronic equipment.
The collection points for waste electrical and electronic equipment remain open in the next period, as follows:
- Monday: Point "Parking 24 hours" - Str. Alba, n. 1, the operating hours being between 10.00 and 18.00;
- Tuesday: Point "Han Tatar" - esplanade Oancea - Str. Han Tatar - Tatarasi, the opening hours being between 10.00 and 18.00;
- Wednesday: "Stone Bridge" Point - Str. Nicolae Iorga (near vulcanization), the operating schedule being between 10.00 and 18.00;
- Thursday: "Pacurari Square" point - Str. Barracks, no. 11, having the operating schedule between 10.00 and 18.00;
- Friday: Point "Piata Sudului" (CUG) - Str. Razors, no. 9, the operating hours being between 10.00 - 18.00.
If the electrical and electronic equipment is large, Salubris Iasi makes available to the public the free collection service. To schedule the pickup, the Salubris dispatcher is available at the phone number 0232 / 270.223.
