Between March 20 and April 30, ECOTIC together with Samsung Romania, Supercom and the City Hall of Sector 2 Bucharest, organized in Sector 2 of the Capital a campaign for the selective collection of waste electrical and electronic equipment.
During this campaign, the inhabitants of sector 2 were able to get rid of WEEE either by handing them over to one of the two WEEE collection centers in Sector 2 (located in 33 Heliade Radulescu Street and 69 Baicului Street ), or by the telephone request addressed to the Supercom team to collect the respective waste. In exchange for each waste handed over, the participants received vouchers with which they participated in the raffle in the raffle organized at the end of the campaign, at which Samsung offered a series of prizes.
The amount of waste collected in this project was over 5 tons, a number of over 200 people getting rid of WEEE in an environmentally friendly way.
