This edition of the "I want a cleaner Romania" contest comes as a completion of the first 4 editions, continuing their ecological stake. At the 5th edition, the general public was invited to post images or videos as suggestive as possible to highlight the protection of the environment by selective waste collection on the other hand, and to show the activities carried out / organized by various institutions. to encourage selective collection.
The contest is part of a series of activities carried out by ECOTIC and Workshops without Borders in The project is co-financed by a grant from Switzerland through the Swiss Contribution to the enlarged European Union.
The contest had two sections.
In section dedicated to NGOs, 9 video materials and 31 photo reports were registered by the organizations that had activity in the field of environmental protection during June 2012 - June, 2013.
Thethe second section addressed the general public. 228 photos entered in the contest showed positive and negative examples related to environmental protection.
The jury - composed of representatives of the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, National Association for Consumer Protection and Promotion of Programs and Strategies in Romania, Valentin Negoita (ECOTIC Association), Patrick Ouriaghli (Workshops without Borders), Dan Popescu (HotNews.ro) - analyzed all materials received and decided the winners of the three prizes offered by ECOTIC for each section:
- The section dedicated to NGOs (a video projector, a laptop and a projection screen): "We plant good deeds in Romania", with the photo report related to the project "Map of deforestation".
- Section dedicated to the general public:
- the most original positive example in the field of environmental protection (a camera and a photo printer): "volunteers - hard work / Photo: Ecologist"
- the most impressive negative example (a camera and a photo printer): "Gemini / Photo: Andreea Mitrea"
The prizes will be awarded until September 15, 2013.
