The campaign "RRResponsible: be responsible, be supportive - Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, giving a new chance to disadvantaged people" and the ECOScolarul contest

ECOTIC and No Borders Workshops ibetween 01.07.2013 - 30.06.2014 the project called „RRResponsible: be responsible, be solidary - Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, giving a new chance disadvantaged people ” with Sthe support of the Ministry of Environment and ChangeClimate change. THIS PROJECT IS CO-FINANCINGAT THROUGH A GRANT ON THE SIDEOF SWITZERLAND THROUGH THE SWISS CONTRIBUTION TO THE ENLARGED EUROPEAN UNION.

The campaign, "RRResponsible: be responsible, be supportive - Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, giving a new chance to disadvantaged people" took the name of the project mentioned above and takes place in 12 schools in 12 communities in the country until 30.05.2014. The targeted cities are: Alexandria, Cluj, Giurgiu, Buzau, Tulcea, Piatra Neamt, Bacau, Ploiesti, Oradea, Timisoara, Brasov, Bucharest.

In each school a visit is organized where will be present: over 40 students and 2 teachers, 1 representative of the local authority, 1 recycling operator, 5 representatives of the NGO sector; 1 private company, the theme being environmental protection, sustainable development, education and awareness on selective waste collection.

During these visits, students demonstrate to their guests their involvement in protecting the environment through projects carried out by students and teachers, but also skill, creating art objects from WEEE. Subsequently, visits will be organized with these students to specialized companies to better explain the whole recycling process.

The campaign "RRResponsible: be responsible, be supportive - Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, offering a new chance to disadvantaged people" also involves the concomitant development of the ECOScolarul contest.

In this contest, students will collect waste electrical and electronic equipment in the respective schools, the largest 3 quantities collected will bring to the respective schools new IT&C equipment. 

The campaign carried out in schools takes place until May 30, 2014.

The first visit took place on October 11, 2013, at the "Mihai Viteazul" School in Alexandria. The host recycler where the students' visit was organized was the local Greentronics.

The second school visited was School no. 10 from Giurgiu on October 22nd. The recycler who received the students' visit was even Ateliere Fara Frontiere. 

The third school where the project stopped was the "Ion Creanga" School in Buzau on November 08, 2013. The recycler visited was GreenWEEE.

The last school targeted in 2013 scheduled for November 22 was the "Ioan Bob" School in Cluj Napoca. The recycler visited was Total Waste Recycling.

 The first school visited in 2014 was "Grigore Antipa" from Tulcea, on February 14. The recycler visited was JT Grup.

 The students of this school were very enthusiastic, together with the teachers and the school management and prepared a small artistic moment. Poetry is available here.  

The second visit in 2014 took place on February 21 at the Nicu Enea School in Bacau, and the recycler visited was Ecorec Recycling (headquarters in Buhusi).

The third visit that took place in the project in 2014 took place on March 07, at School No. 5 in Piatra Neamt. The recycler I went to with the students involved in the project was Ecorec Recycling (headquarters in Buhusi).

The eighth visit in this project took place at School No. 9 "Nicolae Orghidan" in Brasov on March 21, 2014, the recycler visited was the local FPSC Workshop.

On April 24, School no. 18 from Timisoara was the host of the Campaign. Students and teachers prepared for the organizers pleasant surprises: a fashion parade where students paraded wearing clothes made of recyclable materials, and students-inventors of the school wanted to amaze us with gadgets created from WEEE. The FPSC team from Timisoara explained to the students involved what it means to collect and recycle waste electrical and electronic equipment.

On April 25, School No. 11 in Oradea received our visit. After the activities, Bene International, the recycler based in Tileagd, Bihor, received a visit from those involved in the project.

 On May 09, School No. 19 Tudor Arghezi in Bucharest hosted the campaign. Rematholding was the recycler who received the visit of the students participating in the campaign.

And on May 16, the last visit in this project was made to the "Toma Caragiu" School in Ploiesti, and the recycler that received the visit of the students and teachers involved in the project was GreenWEEE from Buzau.
