ECOTIC CARAVAN is the title of the project for which ECOTIC received co-financing through the LIFE instrument of the European Union for raising public awareness on the correct recycling of waste electrical and electronic equipment.
The project takes place between November 2014 and June 2016 at national level.
The central element of the Caravan is a mobile exhibition in which are exposed different types of waste electrical and electronic equipment disassembled, highlighting for educational purposes their components.
ECOTIC and its partners in this project aim to actively involve at least 150 schools in Romania in ecological education and environmental protection. Also, the general public from the visited cities will actively participate in this process, the Caravan being stationed in at least 30 public squares in the country.
What does the ECO Days in Your School Campaign entail?
The "ECO DAYS IN YOUR SCHOOL!" Campaign involves the participation of schools and communities of which they are part through teachers, students and their families in ecological activities carried out by the educational institution involved in the campaign. The culmination of this Campaign is the visit of the ECOTIC Caravan to the school participating in the project.
The activities included in this campaign must be fulfilled in proportion of 100%, being the only way in which the participating teachers as well as the participating schools will qualify for the award organized at the end of each stage included in the Project.
In order to register the educational institutions and therefore also the coordinating teachers, it is mandatory to complete and send Annex 1 of this Regulation to the organizers, according to art. 4.2 of the Regulation. Upon receipt of this form, the Organizers will send as soon as possible only a confirmation of receipt of Annex 1; this confirmation of receipt is not equivalent to the confirmation of the school enrollment in the campaign. Confirmation of enrollment in the project of the school and therefore of the teacher who will become the coordinating teacher of the Campaign in the educational institution of which he is part will be received on the e-mail address specified in the field provided in Annex 1, during the period specified in point 2.3 of the current regulation.
Activities for coordinating teachers:
