Organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Environment and Forests and the National Environmental Guard, the competition took place between April 26 and June 15, 2011. Unlike last year's campaign, students were invited this year to hunt monsters from electrical equipment and electronics, but also waste light sources (neon bulbs and tubes).
The containers made available to schools by ECOTIC and Recolamp helped to collect them, according to environmental protection standards.
In addition to the waste collection action, the students were able to participate in parallel in a contest through which they made public, on the website dedicated to the campaign, www.vanatoareademonstri.ro, digital materials (photo, movies) on the theme of the campaign. Most "like" votes given by visitors to the site, using their own accounts on the social network Facebook were awarded every month in this edition.
As in the previous edition, our reliable partners were Romtelecom, Recolamp and Junior Achievement, Vlamir Impex, but also the authorized collectors of ECOTIC.
