On May 15, 2015, Ateliere Fara Frontiere, the ECOTIC partner and one of the promoters of the concepts of social, circular and solidarity economy in Romania, celebrated 6 years of activity. We are sure that many, many years of consolidation and growth of this sector of activity in our country will follow.
May 15, 2015, 10.30:XNUMX a.m. Anniversary of Ateliere Fara Frontiere at the production hall at Piata Sudului. An hour a little unusual for an anniversary, but AFF friends gather easily and a little curious. Patrick Ouriaghli, AFF Director, announces at the opening of the event that indeed, the participants will have a somewhat original experience. Of course, there will be talks, goodies prepared by the friends of the celebrants will be enjoyed, but something more will be done: all the guests will be organized in teams and will be, for two hours, co-workers with employees from within the AFF: IT workshops (where, in partnership with ECOTIC, WEEE is dismantled and the resulting components are reconditioned or reused creatively) and remesh.
Big eyes, smiles on the faces of the guests. A short course of labor protection is made, the route instructions are given and the people are equipped. Green or navy gowns, protective gloves, aprons. That's all it took to instantly create, warm and beautiful, a feeling of solidarity that welded everyone present.
It's a unique experience to sit next to a seamstress who grew up in an orphanage, cut meshes with her and talk about life. You can't help but want to do a good job with a deaf-mute young man who is trying to explain to you what to do with the laptop cleaning solution. And you have to do the right thing, because what comes out of his hands goes to places where people need IT equipment - schools, orphanages, social institutions.
In the end, the guests took with them not only the photos specially prepared as souvenirs, but also the feeling that each of them, through the collaboration and partnerships they develop with AFF, do significant things on a human level. Because from everyone's collaboration, at the end of the day, the chance can smile again in the life of an orphanage seamstress or a deaf-mute young man.
