Starting with January 2020, Romanians are encouraged to "be in the country as well as abroad" and to hand over waste electrical and electronic equipment responsibly.
Between August 31st and September 4th ECOTIC, Adunații Copăceni City Hall and ECOGREEN urge the inhabitants of Adunații Copăceni commune to hand over correctly for recycling waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) and that each person who delivers waste of at least 5 kg accumulated to receive an instant prize .
The collection point is located at the headquarters of Adunații Copăceni City Hall.
The inhabitants of the commune benefit from free home delivery service for large and bulky WEEE, calling the number 0374 010 010. Collection at home will be done in compliance with health and safety requirements.
"During 2020, we gradually implemented the concept of separate collection of recyclable waste in rural areas. We are glad that the results did not take long to appear, although we still have a lot to do in this regard. It is a joint effort that the collection company makes together with the local public administration but especially with the population. Through these campaigns we encourage the inhabitants of these areas to selectively hand over recyclable waste, especially waste electrical and electronic equipment, and thus to divert as much waste as possible from storage, ”says George Manescu, Managing Director Ecogreen Construct.
"Clean Communes" Adunații Copăceni is part of the national information campaign "Be at home in the country as well as abroad", organized by ECOTIC in partnership with the Ministry of Environment, Waters and Forests. Its purpose is to contribute to the awareness of the Romanian public regarding the correct behavior towards a type of waste: WEEE - waste electrical and electronic equipment.
Through it, ECOTIC aims to promote good practices in the European Union and to inform the Romanian public on the solutions for separate collection of electrical and electronic waste available to all: electronics and home appliances stores, municipal collection points and campaigns on which ECOTIC carries out regularly, in urban and rural areas.
