The ECOTIC "Clean Cities" campaign arrives in Cluj-Napoca

Clean Cities, the ECOTIC itinerant campaign, dedicated to the collection of used electrical and electronic equipment from the urban environment, makes a new stop, this time, in Cluj-Napoca, carrying out two campaigns simultaneously. 

In period July 1 - 5, 2019, ECOTIC in partnership with Brantner Vereș encourages citizens to properly dispose of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) for recycling, following that for the delivery of a minimum of 5 kg accumulated to receive an instant prize.

The collection point is located on Bobâlnei Street no. 62-64 (hours 8: 00-16: 00).

For the free collection from home of large and voluminous WEEE (over 20 kg), the inhabitants of Cluj-Napoca in the area served by the sanitation operator Brantner Veres I can call the phone number 0364 999.

However, during the period 1-6 July 2019, ECOTIC in partnership with Cluj-Napoca City Hall, ROSAL and Babeș-Bolyai University (Faculty of Environmental Science and Engineering) invites the population in the area served by Rosal to hand over correctly for recycling waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE), following that for the delivery of a minimum of 5 kg accumulated to receive an instant prize.

The collection points are:

  • ROSAL Cluj - Str. Meteor - behind the block on 107 Observatorului Street,) 01-02.07.2019 (time interval 11: 30-18: 30)
  • ROSAL Cluj Sports Hall: 03-04.07.2019 (time interval 11: 30-18: 30)
  • ROSAL Cluj - str. Bucium (CTP garage area): 05-06.07.2019 (time interval 11: 30-18: 30)

Romania, as an EU member state, has the obligation to reach a target of 45% collection of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) by 2020. In this regard, ECOTIC continues its efforts to raise awareness among the population.

"Clean Cities" is the ECOTIC campaign that pursues this goal in the urban environment. Together with local public and environmental authorities, ECOTIC has informed and continues to inform residents of dozens of cities across the country about the need to collect WEEE, providing specialized collection points.

In 2017 and 2018, ECOTIC carried out over 35 campaigns that informed over 400.000 people.
