The ECOTIC "Clean Cities" campaign returns to Pantelimon

November of this year brings to the public's attention collection campaigns that will take place throughout the country. "Clean Cities", the ECOTIC itinerant campaign, dedicated to the collection of used electrical and electronic equipment in urban areas, is also taking place in Pantelimon.blank

Between November 15 and 16, 2019, ECOTIC in partnership with the City Hall of Pantelimon and Ecovol, encourages the citizens of Pantelimon to hand over correctly for recycling waste electrical and electronic equipment.

Collection center:

  • Tractorului Street, FN (Garage ECOVOL) - Schedule: 15.11.2019 - 08: 00-16: 00; 16.11.2019 - 08: 00-13: 00

 For the delivery of waste electrical and electronic equipment of at least 5-19 kg cumulated, the person will be entered in the raffle, and for the delivery of 20-39 kg will be offered a voucher worth 10 lei, for handing over 40-59 kg a voucher worth 20 lei and for handing over 60 kg a voucher worth 30 lei.

Romania, as an EU member state, has the obligation to reach a target of 45% collection of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) by 2020. In this regard, ECOTIC continues its efforts to raise awareness among the population.

"We try to raise awareness among Pantelimon residents about the importance of separate collection of recyclable waste, through information / awareness activities, encouraging them to selectively hand over recyclable waste, especially waste electrical and electronic equipment," said Lucia Nan, Chief public relations office, Ecovol

"Clean Cities" is the ECOTIC campaign that pursues this goal in the urban environment. Together with public and local authorities, ECOTIC has informed and continues to inform residents of dozens of cities across the country on the need to collect WEEE, providing specialized collection points.

In 2018, ECOTIC carried out 53 collection and awareness campaigns, which informed over 320.000 people.
