Clean Cities, the ECOTIC itinerant campaign, dedicated to the collection of used electrical and electronic equipment from the urban environment, makes a new stop, this time, in Comănești.
In period June 24 - 28, 2019, ECOTIC in partnership with ECO Valea Muntelui, encourages citizens to properly dispose of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) for recycling, following that for the delivery of waste between 15 kg and 35 kg cumulated to receive a gift voucher worth 10 lei, and for the delivery of waste over 35 kg cumulated a gift voucher of 20 lei.
The collection points are located as follows:
- SP Eco Valea Muntelui headquarters, Moldovei street no.118, between 7:00 - 18:00
- Gheorghe Donici Street, FN (near Cresa Comanesti Center) Monday, Tuesday, Thursday between 10:00 - 12:00 and 16:00 - 18:00
- Garii street collection point, no. 71 (near the grain fair) Wednesday and Friday between 10:00 - 12:00 and 16:00 - 18:00
At the same time, the inhabitants of Comanesti can benefit from a free service. Thus, the collection of waste of large and bulky electrical and electronic equipment will be done from home, based on a prior appointment at the phone numbers 0234/370066 between 7:00 - 15:00, 0234/370028 between 7:00 - 15:00 and 0745909475 between 8:00 and 17:00.
Romania, as an EU member state, has the obligation to reach a target of 45% collection of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) by 2020. In this regard, ECOTIC continues its efforts to raise awareness among the population.
"Clean Cities" is the ECOTIC campaign that pursues this goal in the urban environment. Together with local public and environmental authorities, ECOTIC has informed and continues to inform residents of dozens of cities across the country about the need to collect WEEE, providing specialized collection points.
In 2017 and 2018, ECOTIC carried out over 35 campaigns that informed over 400.000 people.
