The Recycling Station is an information and waste collection campaign for electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE), launched by the ECOTIC Organization in June 2016 and dedicated especially to the rural environment, but also to the urban environment in Romania. Arges County was the third county crossed by the ECOTIC Caravan, with the help of ADI Servsal Arges, the Arges County Council and the Arges Environmental Protection Agency. From the 14 localities in Arges involved in the project, 11,3 tons of WEEE were collected.

The first counties visited by the Ecotic Caravan, within the Recycling Station project, were Iasi and Brasov. In these counties, the ECOTIC Caravan traveled through 15 localities, collecting waste electrical and electronic equipment.

Starting with March 20, 2017, the Caravan arrived in Arges County, where the inhabitants of 14 localities were encouraged to hand over correctly for recycling the old electrical and electronic equipment, thus being able to participate in a raffle with attractive prizes.

The route of the ECOTIC Caravan within the campaign in Arges County included three stages. During the first stage, the localities visited were: Mioveni, Titesti, Schitu-Golesti, Campulung and Leresti. In the second stage, the ECOTIC Caravan passed through Domnesti, Buzoesti, Costesti, Topoloveni and Leordeni, and in the third stage, the WEEE collection was made in Stefanesti, Maracineni, Bascov and Pitesti (in two locations different).

In total, on the Arges route, they were collected 11,3 tons of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE), The ECOTIC caravan was visited by approx 8000 people.

The "Recycling Station" campaign is part of the ECOTIC strategy to accelerate informing the general public and collecting used electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) in the context in which, since 2016, Romania has a mandatory national target for collecting WEEE of minimum 40%.
