"Clean Communes", the itinerant ECOTIC campaign, dedicated to collecting used electrical and electronic equipment from rural areas, visits Hălmagiu, Arad County, on October 6, 2018, in partnership with the Ministry of Environment, Halmagiu and Rechoralex.
Thus, on October 6, the inhabitants of Hălmagiu are encouraged to hand over waste for electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) correctly for recycling. During the campaign, any resident of the commune who will hand over waste of more than 10 kg will receive gift vouchers. People who will hand over waste between 5 and 10 kg will be automatically entered in the raffle, and can win prizes of 40 lei each.
The collection point is located at the Halmagiu commune City Hall (schedule 10:00 - 18:00).

Romania, as a member of the EU, has the obligation to reach a target of 45% collection of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE). In this context, ECOTIC continues the efforts to raise awareness among the population by developing, starting with April 2018, the Clean Common program, derived from the traditional campaign "Clean Cities".
Following the goal of raising awareness of the rural population, ECOTIC, together with public and local authorities, informs rural residents across the country about the need to collect WEEE and provides collection points where this waste can be brought and handed over for recycling. .
