Thus, between 9 and 13 July 2018, the inhabitants of Hoceni are encouraged to hand over correctly to recycling waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE). During the campaign, any resident of the commune who will hand over waste of at least 20 kg accumulated at the specially arranged collection point, will receive a gift voucher worth 10 lei. The collection point is located at the Hoceni commune City Hall (schedule 08:00 - 16:00).

To collect waste of large and bulky electrical and electronic equipment, those interested can call the phone number 0751 110 552. A PRISCOM Barlad team will travel and collect WEEE from home, on July 13, 2018.

"We are trying to bring the concept of separate collection of recyclable waste to rural areas. Through these campaigns we encourage the inhabitants of these areas to selectively hand over the waste that can be recycled, especially waste electrical and electronic equipment, and, implicitly, to protect the environment ”says Adrian Prisecaru, representative of Priscom Bârlad.

Romania, as a member of the EU, has the obligation to reach a target of 45% collection of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE). In this context, ECOTIC continues the efforts to raise awareness among the population by developing, starting with April 2018, the Clean Common program, derived from the traditional campaign "Clean Cities".

Following the goal of raising awareness of the rural population, ECOTIC, together with public and local authorities, informs rural residents across the country about the need to collect WEEE and provides collection points where this waste can be brought and handed over for recycling. .
