"Clean Communes", the itinerant ECOTIC campaign, dedicated to the collection of used electrical and electronic equipment from rural areas, visits the town of Tutova, in Vaslui County, during June 11-15, 2018, in partnership with the Ministry of Environment, the National Environmental Guard, the City Hall of Tutova and Priscom.

Thus, between June 11-15, 2018, the inhabitants of Tutova are encouraged to properly hand over waste for electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) for recycling. During the campaign, any resident of commune who will deliver waste of at least 5kg accumulated at the specially arranged collection point, will receive an instant prize. The collection point is located at the City Hall of Tutova commune (program 08: 00 - 16:00).

For the collection of large and bulky electrical and electronic equipment waste, those interested can call the phone number 0751 110 552. A PRISCOM team will travel and collect WEEE from home, on June 15, 2018.

"Such a campaign has a very important role, especially in rural areas, as these areas often lack information on separate collection, and thus collection points. Basically, the campaign Comune Curate (Clean Villages) brings information and collection points to people's doors ”says Adrian Prisecaru, manager of Priscom.

Romania, as a member of the EU, has the obligation to reach a target of 45% collection of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE). In this context, ECOTIC continues the efforts to raise awareness among the population by developing, starting with April 2018, the program Clean Communes, derived from the traditional campaign  "Clean cities".

Following the goal of raising awareness of the rural population, ECOTIC, together with public and local authorities, informs rural residents across the country about the need to collect WEEE and provides collection points where this waste can be brought and handed over for recycling. .
