„The awareness and collection campaign in Argeș County continues, this time reaching Câmpulung and 13 other communes. Thus, we try to sensitize the inhabitants of Argeș County on the importance of separate collection of recyclable waste and encourage them to selectively hand over recyclable waste, especially waste electrical and electronic equipment "says Gabriel Moiceanu, Executive Director of ADI Servsal Argeș.

Romania, as an EU member state, has the obligation to reach a target of 45% collection of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) by 2020. In this regard, ECOTIC continues efforts to raise awareness and collection among the population .

"Clean cities" is the ECOTIC campaign that pursues this goal in the urban environment, while the campaign "Clean Communes" addresses the rural public. Together with local public and environmental authorities, ECOTIC has informed and continues to inform residents of dozens of cities and municipalities across the country about the need for WEEE collection, providing specialized collection points.

In 2017 and in the first part of 2018, ECOTIC carried out 31 campaigns that informed approximately 320.000 people.
