Between November 5 and December 5, 2016, ECOTI Organization
C carried out a campaign to collect used batteries and electrical toys in the network of PEPCO stores in Bucharest. More than 1200 Bucharest residents responded to the invitation and handed over the types of waste requested for recycling. At the end of the campaign, each PEPCO store participating in the campaign designated its winners.
The inhabitants of Bucharest were informed and encouraged to participate in the collection of the mentioned waste, being able to hand in used batteries and toys in any of the 13 Pepco stores in Bucharest.
Each person who handed over 4 used batteries or an old electric toy received a voucher and participated in the Santa Claus raffle. The prizes awarded in each Pepco store were:
First prize - a tablet
Second prize - a pair of headphones
Prize III - an external battery
Starting with 2016, the national targets for the collection of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) and waste batteries and accumulators (DBA) have become significantly higher. In this context, the ECOTIC Organization continues its efforts to develop partnerships in as many different areas as possible, in order to reach a wider audience and thus succeed in achieving its information, education and collection objectives.
