ECOTIC provides citizens with a unique telephone number 021 9641 so that they can identify the best solution for handing over electrical and electronic waste. Those who will place takeover orders from home during the period March 8 - 31 have the opportunity to participate in a raffle that has as a prize a state-of-the-art robot vacuum cleaner.
The initiative is part of the campaign "Be with you in the country as well as abroad!" launched in 2020 by ECOTIC together with the Ministry of Water Environment and Forests. The aim of the campaign is to encourage responsible behavior for the recycling of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE).
What other ways to deliver WEEE are available?
- Exchange 1 to 1: when you buy new equipment you can hand over similar old equipment.
- At collection points / centers: we find collection points dedicated to electrical waste everywhere, especially in retail stores. The map with ECOTIC collection points is available on here.
- Pick up from home: ECOTIC ensures in certain conditions the takeover of bulky equipment. In order to support as many citizens as possible, in 2021 ECOTIC expanded its coverage area for the home take-over service, currently covering almost the entire territory of Romania.
