Starting with September 10, 2012, the ECOTIC and RECOLAMP associations started the national program "Green Day in your organization"! 
With the support of the Ministry of Environment and Forests and the National Environmental Guard, the campaign is addressed to state institutions and private companies. The purpose of this campaign is to create the necessary premises for the mentioned institutions in order to dispose of waste electrical and electronic equipment free of charge and efficiently, including economic light bulbs and burned fluorescent tubes.
The "Green Day in your organization" takes place between September 10 and November 15, 2012 and has as main objective the increase of the degree of selective collection and recycling of WEEE, including economic light bulbs and burned fluorescent tubes.
Thus, any organization / company that collects at least 20 kg of lighting equipment and / or 100 kg of electrical equipment waste - can request until November 15, 2012, by phone 0722.283.383 or by e-mail to collection @ giornoverde .ro, free collection of these types of waste.
All waste collected will be recycled by the two collective organizations, ECOTIC and Recolamp, in compliance with environmental legislation.
The waste that can be reconditioned will be taken over by the organization "Workshops without Borders", prepared for reuse and donated in carefully selected social projects.
The company with the best results will be rewarded by recognizing the efforts of the most responsible organizations in the "Awards Gala for a Clean Environment 2012" organized by the news site Hotnews, ECOTIC and Recolamp. The gala is a platform for promoting campaigns dedicated to environmental protection and saving resources, identifying and rewarding each year the social responsibility programs developed by companies or public institutions, as well as good practices in local communities to improve environmental conditions.
In addition, a series of prizes will be awarded to reward the efforts of companies participating in the "Green Day in your organization". The winner of the grand prize will benefit from the afforestation of an area in the community where they operate, and the other prizes will be 15 bicycles (10 bicycles for WEEE collection and 5 bicycles for light source collection) awarded by drawing lots.
