Green Planet Association, together with Romanian Environment Association and in partnership with the European Network of Environmental Professionals, organized the second edition of the Conference “European recycling society – Natural Resources and Waste Management” between April 9- 10, 2014 .
This conference provided an opportunity to interact directly with experts on the analysis and discussion of the most important concepts, issues and trends in key areas of waste management.
The structure of the conference was based on seminars and plenary sessions that generated solutions to problems that Southeastern European countries face. ECOTIC was represented at this conference by Dragos Calugaru, CEO. The presentation focused on the responsibilities of EEE producers on WEEE issues and on the problems encountered in this field nationwide.
Within this international event, guests watched a special speech recorded for this conference by the Janez Potočnik European - Environment Commissioner.
The conference agenda included a debate on important issues that influence the waste management industry at both national and European level. These included reviewing the key objectives of the European Union and European legislation on waste management imperatives and limitations of integrated waste management, associative approach in the field and emerging role of recycling.
