carried out between 2014 and 2016, the project ECOTIC LIFE + Caravan, co-financed by the LIFE program. Within this project, the ECOTIC Caravan was built, an interactive way to communicate with the target audience about the separate collection of electrical waste, light bulbs and batteries. The final report of the project presenting its results is available here.
In the ECOTIC Caravan are exposed various types of electrical and electronic equipment, disassembled, in order to highlight the recyclable and hazardous content, along with other useful information on the importance of recycling and recovery of raw materials.
In recognition of the project's efforts and results, it has been designated by the European Commission as law Best Environment LIFE Project within GREEN WEEK 2018.
Over time, the Caravan has remained an important part of the countless projects developed by ECOTIC. One such project was the "Recycling Station", the Caravan being a temporary and mobile collection point thus allowing access to information and an easy solution for collecting electrical waste for residents in rural or urban areas. More details here.
In order to facilitate the visit of the ECOTIC Caravan and in a pandemic context, ECOTIC has made a virtual tour of it, which you can watch here.
