Schools in the country are invited to sign up for a new edition of the awareness and collection program - Ecoterrian School.

On September 28, 2023, ECOTIC and ECOTIC BAT launch a new edition of the Ecoterrian School program - a program addressed to primary and secondary schools that want to train a future generation of environmentally responsible adults.
The School of Ecoterrians, which will be held during the period September 28, 2023 – July 10, 2024, aims to raise students' awareness of the importance of environmental protection and the separate collection of waste electrical and electronic equipment (including light sources) and batteries.
In the 2022-2023 edition, the 311 registered schools collected 75 tons of waste electrical and electronic equipment and 9 tons of waste batteries and accumulators - results that show the involvement of teachers and students, more and more, towards the correct behavior in regarding the separate collection of WEEE and DBA.
Registrations for the 2023-2024 edition are made between September 28 and October 13, 2023, by accessing and filling in the dedicated form here.
What type of educational institutions can apply?
Primary and/or secondary schools are invited to enroll in the program. The schools enrolled and confirmed in the program will receive a set of information and ecological education materials, as well as a set of containers in which they will be able to collect waste electrical and electronic equipment, lighting fixtures and waste batteries and accumulators. Activities will run concurrently with classroom lessons.
Having two important components (awareness and collection), the organizers decided to award schools that get involved in both components of the program. Thus, they will be awarded schools that will carry out lessons, practical activities and collect WEEE (waste electrical and electronic equipment) and DBA (waste batteries and accumulators). The winners will receive gift vouchers cwill be able to be used for digitization and equipping with the necessary equipment for the proper conduct of education activities, in the schools with the best results within the program.
At the same time, in recognition of the efforts made throughout the year in carrying out the activities, the organizers will award a prize to the most involved teacher.
