Starting with January 2020, Romanians are encouraged to "be in the country as well as abroad" and to hand over waste electrical and electronic equipment responsibly.

Between October 26-30, 2020, ECOTIC, Buftea City Hall and Servicii Salubritate București SA urges the inhabitants of Buftea to hand over correctly for recycling waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) at Servicii Salubritate București SA in Buftea, Str. Nursery, no. 7, following that each person who delivers waste over 5 kg accumulated to receive an instant prize.

Residents of Buftea benefit from the free service for taking large and large WEEE from home, by calling the telephone number 021 313 86 36. In this case, a team from Servicii Salubritate București SA will travel and pick up the WEEE from at home, respecting safety measures

“A clean and healthy environment is our priority, which is why we inform citizens about the correct way to dispose of waste electrical and electronic equipment and provide them with a free home collection service. This way we protect not only the environment but also the depletable resources of the planet. ”Declares Cristian Pascu, Administrator of Health Services Bucharest SA

"Clean Cities" Buftea is part of the national information campaign "Be with you in the country as well as abroad", organized by ECOTIC in partnership with the Ministry of Environment, Waters and Forests. Its purpose is to contribute to the awareness of the Romanian public regarding the correct behavior towards a type of waste: WEEE - waste electrical and electronic equipment.

Through it, ECOTIC aims to promote good practices in the European Union and to inform the Romanian public on separate collection solutions for electrical and electronic waste available to all: electronics and home appliances stores, municipal collection points and campaigns on which ECOTIC carries out regularly, in urban and rural areas.
