„The Recycling Station campaign is welcome in Constanța County, especially in the rural area. Its mission is to make the general public aware of the importance we must give to waste recycling by implementing the Integrated Waste Management System in Constanța County. The Dobrogea Intercommunity Development Association and the Town Halls of the Constanta localities will make efforts for the population to be informed and supported in the selective collection activity ”said Mr. Viorel Creanga, Executive Director of ADI Dobrogea.
Romania, as an EU member state, has the obligation to reach a target of 45% collection of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) by 2020. In this regard, ECOTIC continues its efforts to raise awareness among the population.
"Recycling Station" is the ECOTIC campaign that pursues this goal mainly in rural areas. Together with local public authorities and ADI Dobrogea, ECOTIC informs residents of several localities in each county visited on the need for WEEE collection and provides a mobile collection point - Caravan ECOTIC - where this waste can be brought and handed over for recycling.
