The collection point is located on Chimiei Street, Thermal Point no. 7, phone: 0347 405 107.
The inhabitants of Turnu Măgurele benefit from the free home collection service of large and voluminous WEEE, calling the phone number 021 9641.
“We try to sensitize the inhabitants of Turnu Măgurele on the importance of separate collection of recyclable waste, through information / awareness activities, encouraging them to selectively hand over waste that can be recycled, especially waste electrical and electronic equipment. In this sense, we come to the support of the citizens with collection points and pick-up service from home ”says Oana Fulgheci, Head of the monitoring office of the Waste Management Intercommunity Development Association, Teleorman.
"Clean Cities" Turnu Măgurele is part of the national information campaign "Be with you in the country as well as abroad", organized by ECOTIC in partnership with the Ministry of Environment, Waters and Forests. Its purpose is to contribute to the awareness of the Romanian public regarding the correct behavior towards a type of waste: WEEE - waste electrical and electronic equipment. Through it, ECOTIC aims to promote good practices in the European Union and to inform the Romanian public on the solutions for separate collection of electrical and electronic waste available to all: electronics and home appliances stores, municipal collection points and campaigns on which ECOTIC carries out regularly, in urban and rural areas.
