The ECOTIC Association, in partnership with the University of Bucharest, the Polytechnic University of Bucharest and the Ecological University of Bucharest, is launching, on May 20, a new campaign dedicated to students interested in environmental protection.
project Students for a Clean Environment is addressed to students from the three higher education institutions, interested in environmental issues or eager to get involved in selective collection and greening actions.
Thus, between May 20 and 24, they are invited to enter the environmental protection contest on the website educatie.ecotic.ro. The competition has both a theoretical component - the registration of a project focused on environmental protection by teams of up to 3 students - and a practical one - the collection of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE).
The contest will run according to the following schedule:
STAGE I - 20 - 24 May 2019 - the period for registering projects and collecting WEEE;
STAGE II - 27 - 31 May 2019 - judging period;
STAGE III - June 3 - 7, 2019 - awarding the winners
The first 3 teams from each university that will obtain the highest score will be awarded by ECOTIC with attractive prizes consisting of electronic equipment kits.
"We are addressing the younger generation, the one we rely on to protect the environment in the future and use natural resources efficiently, and we are trying, through this project, to help raise awareness of the importance of separate collection of waste electrical and electronic equipment, as a necessary step for environmental protection ", said Valentin Negoiță, ECOTIC president.
